Oxidative stress affects performance and animal health, leading to production losses. Therefore, antioxidants like vitamin E and polyphenols are added to animal feeds to minimize oxidative stress, support their performance and protect their well-being.
Since vitamin E also has specific other functionalities besides being an antioxidant, there is a limit to the amount of vitamin E which can be replaced. Depending on the species and current vitamin E levels in the diet – OxiGuard typically can replace vitamin E up to 50% of the total vitamin E level. OxiGuard is formulated in such a way that it can be compared with Vitamin E50 on a 1:1 product basis.
